Kauai Island
Nawiliwili is the major port for Kauai. Kalapaki Beach is located to the east, in front of the Kauai Marriott. Niumalu Beach is located to the west of the harbor. The island is very beautiful. Probably there is no traffic jam. We walked to Kauai Marriott area - surfing, Kauai cock, beach, coconut trees, .... It is paradise.
Maui Island
Lahaina is the port in Maui. Getting to land is by tender. Lahaina has huge banyan trees. There are many tourist boats for whale watching, deep sea fishing. I have passed a Chinese heritage house.

Ensenada, Mexico
Ensenada is a harbour about 140 km south of San Diego (USA). The city has population about less than 300K. It is a commercial, fishing and cruise ship port. We had a brief 5 hours stop in this simple port. The downtown area is mainly for cruise ship tourists with many souvenir shops. The other attraction is pharmaceutical shops with plenty supply of Viagra, etc. The restaurants are very hard to get cruise ship tourists, some cafe can lure tourists for a short break. My finding is: Ensenada is currently the city with more scientists per capita in Mexico and it is the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (CICESE). This center conducts research in Earth Sciences, Applied Physics, Oceanography, and Experimental and Applied Biology.
