Alaska 2010
Date: September 11 to 18, 2010
Cruise ship: Diamond Princess
This is our second Alaska cruise trip. The weather is better than our first trip, unbelievably warm and sunny in September. The destinations are the same, the only difference is that we walked in Port Whittier.Whittier is a city by itself. The entire city is in a large high rise building. The first floor is city offices with a very small convenient store, self serve laundry and a small museum. The people live upstairs. In the port area, there are restaurants and fishing store. We saw a Chinese restaurant with a sign - closed for the season. It is the last trip for Diamond Princess, they lighted fire work to send Diamond Princess sail away to Asia and Australia. Diamond Princess will be back to do Alaska from mid-May to mid-September.
