Distance: From Hobbs NM is about 430 miles.
Our driving is guided by GPS: Hobbs -> Seminole ->Lamesa follow US 87 -> Big Spring -> San Angelo ->Eden follow US 83 till Junction -> I-10 East to I-410 E -> I-35 N. Our destination is Comfort suites on I-35 N.
Major attractions:
The Alamo - the major and historical. I had watched the John Wayne's movie The Alamo in 1962.
River walk - it is different. You have to see it in both day and night.
Dinner at "Texas Roadhouse", it was recommended by our hotel reception. When we got in around 7PM, it was full and the waiting time is about one hour minimal. We decided to go to downtown first and come back later. When we come back at 10 PM, they still allowed us to sit down because the opening hours is "to 10PM". The steak is so good, you all have to visit Texas one day. Also, I chose baked sweet potato with marshmallow topping on the side. It is so good. Every table has a tin barrel of Texan peanuts. It is so fresh and good. I should bring a dogging bag to take some.
