Singapore

2012-03-12 to 16

Its location is 1N 103E. You can image the weather. I believe it is hot year around. This is a very beautiful, clean and save country.
The cruise ship docked in the commercial port, we have to take shuttle bus to Habour Front cruise ship terminal to pick up our luggage. It was raining, one lady was holding a car - Taxi Van for SGD 40. 4 of us used the Van to our hotel.
Public transit is great. There is a tourist day pass - one day SGD 20, 2 days SGD 26, 3 days SGD 30. There is SGD 10 for deposit of the card. When you return it you can get SGD 10 back. You can purchase at Changi station when you are arriving by airplane, Harbour Front station when you are using cruise ship, the other stations are in downtown area: Bugis, City Hall, Orchard, Raffles Places.
If you like shopping, Orchard Road is the place for you. Also, Raffles Places, Marina Bay, downtown malls. For quick lunch or snack, food count is a good place. There are 8 Ding Tai Fong. Food court in local resident area is very affordable.
Chinatown is a must visit place. Marina Bay - there is a new hotel, Casino and convention center by Sands. The food court there is very good.
Raffles Hotel you have to visit, the legendary cocktail Singapore Sling is from there. I was told they are using pre-mix powder now. The hotel is very pretty.
Singapore National Orchard Garden and Botanic Gardens are worth visiting.
If you plan to visit there, plan to stay there for a few days.
