Diamond Princess docked in the commercial port - Laem Chabang. Bangkok is about 90 miles from this port, about 2.5 hours by excursion bus.
The weather is hot and humid, the location of Bangkok us 13N 100E.
We got off at Asia Hotel which is in the centre, there is one Sky Train stop in front of the hotel. The transportation has Sky Train, Water Taxi, Bus and Taxi within the city. There are many malls. We arrived at 10:30AM and left at 3:30PM.
Grand Palace is the major attraction. Do you remember the movie "The King and I"? It is about King Rama IV. Now, from the memories of the movies to the real palace.

Bangkok is one of the most memorable places in my listing. I should go back for an extensive visit. Here are photos of Asia Hotel and its vicinity - shopping mall and art & cultural centre, Grand Palace.
