Glasgow & Greenock, Scotland

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, Greenock is Glasgow's nearest large harbour. Regal Princess docked on Greenock pier.
Date visited: 2015-09-15
Vessel: Regal Princess

I walked out from ship, then follow the road toward Greenock Central Station. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the station. The train station has 2 platforms under sky, there is a small ticket booth and self serve ticket vending machine. At off peak hours, round trip to Glasgow is 6.90 British Pounds per ticket. I used credit card to purchased 2 tickets, the price in CAD is about 29. Purchasing ticket from seller takes very lone time, when I got the ticket the train has just closed its doors.

On the way to Glasgow, the train runs faster at that time slot - only 28 minutes. On the way back to Greenock, the train ran as usual because it stopped on every stop 45 minutes.

Glasgow is surely a bigger and historical city. I just want to see the city and its famous Cathedral. I missed out University of Glasgow, but I passed University of Strathclyde and asked their favour to use their toilet.

Greenock looks nice too:
