福建永定客家土楼

The Fujian Tulou are earthen houses. Several stories high, they are built along an inward-looking, circular or square floor plan as housing for up to 800 people each. They were built for defense purposes around a central open courtyard with only one entrance and windows to the outside only above the first floor. Housing a whole clan, the houses functioned as village units and were known as a little kingdom for the family or bustling small city.
客家人建土楼为防山贼，全家族住在一起，一大家有四儿子则分成四份，每份有一楼梯，由最高到地面为一家所有，地面层为厨房及家畜，第二层为粮仓，再上为房间。屋顶通风，冬暖夏凉。外墙用土加石灰调制成，里面为木头木板。福建有数万个土楼，即使在南埥也为客家师傅制造的。
客家土楼地位偏僻，民情朴实，人家告诉他们，我们代你们申请世界文化遗产，我们来经营，你们每年可分数百元，于是大家同意，签下多年合同，现在每天大批游客到来，门票如此的高，才知吃了大亏。
客家食物，非常俭朴，梅菜扣肉，红烧罗卜，青菜，荤少菜多。
土楼地位偏远，厦门车程3小时可到永定。土楼内无厕所，对现代人较不方便。
承启楼 - 建于清康熙四十八年（1709年）。全楼直径73米，走廊周长229．3米，全楼为三圈一中心。外圈4层，高11．4米，每层设72个房间；第二圈二层，每层设40个房间；第三圈为单层，设32个房间。中心为祖堂，全楼共计400个房间。整个建筑面积为5376.17平方米。
Once upon a time, US satellite pictures showing China has so many nuclear equipment in this region. They have to get a guy married to a girl from this region. At the time, it needs government permission to let foreigner to visit China's remote area. The reason is to visit Chinese girl's hometown. The nuclear myth was solved when the guy saw the real thing. For me, I planned to visit there mainly because it is a new UNESCOs world heritage. The communication is easy because there is a brand new good highway. I can see our Hakka people are very diligent and well educated. They do follow Chinese tradition. I believe if you like to see the traditional original Chinese culture and heritage, you should visit here. The town area is very small, there are restaurants. The food is simple and clean.
