My NZ Trip - Invercargill

New Zealand - Invercargill, South Island

Date: 2007-05-12 to 2007-05-13

Invercargill locates on the southernmost area of South Island. Bluff is the southern most point. The town has population about 60,000. It is a tourist town. Strong wind blowing from the south and it is very cold. When we arrived there, I heard strong wind and I thought it was a tornado. There is a ferry to the south island, it is just a National Park.

We stayed one night in this town. We walked on the main street on Sunday. You can see the sign of free bus on Sunday. On our way to Te Anau, we passed a beach with turbulent waves. From this trip, I got an idea South Pole wind is very strong and cold.

Grass is fallen down due to strong wind
