Australia - Sydney Harbour
Date: 2007-06-03 to 2007-06-10My impression: Sydney harbour is so beautiful and clean. I believe Sydney is the most beautiful harbour city in the world.
The public transit - City Transit CityRail offers cheap ferry rides. If you purchase day or week pass, the pass covers ferry ride. Many private tour companies offer many tours such as sunset buffet, music and dance cruise, etc. If you go there by Cruise ship trip, you just take the cheap public ferry ride because it offers all angle view of harbour, also, cruise ship trip has much higher standard and quality than harbour cruise trip.
Our left Christchurch in the very early flight to Sydney. The plane landed before 7 AM local time. We used local rail transit to Double Bay station and walked to our hotel. After unloading everything, we walked to the same station and bought one day pass. We started our Australia visit, the first stop is Sydney Harbour. We got off at Circular Quay station and walked to ferry station. There are several platforms for different destinations. We did 2 ferry rides on our first day. I believe we get our money's worth after 2 ferry rides.
