Oamaru is a pretty small Victorian town. The famous place to visit is blue penguin's hatching place and rocks on the beach. Those round stones are unique, it is formed naturally, not man made and shipped there. The town is relative quiet. It is like somewhere in England. When my son visited there, they stayed there one night. His impression - the town is dead in the evening.
